You need to hear this one by any means necessary. Shellshock, who supported the early days of the Kanto thrash metal scene alongside Casbah, Doom, and Jurassic Jade, have finally completed their fifth full-length album. It was released on their newly established label, System Kills Recordings, at the milestone of the band’s 35th anniversary this year. This is the first recording made with the current lineup: leader and central figure Akira Ito on vocals and guitar, joined for this album by Akira “AxKxI” Shimizu of Code Red on guitar and 32Kondo, formerly of Cemment, on bass, with Onobone — also a member of the Japanese drum and grind trio Kandarivas — returning on drums following the previous release.
