Start with the spelling, because search engines will not help you otherwise. The band is Art’emïus, with an apostrophe and two dots over the i. In Japanese it is アルテミアス. Leave out either mark and you will mostly find other things.
What It Says It Is
The band’s X profile reads “Japanese DEATHCORE from TOKYO.” On Instagram it calls itself a “Japanese Death Metal / Deathcore Band.” Its music is self-released and distributed through TuneCore Japan.
The Lineup
The pinned post on the band’s X account, dated 24 May 2026, lists:
- てゃん, guitar
- KoHe, guitar
- 奏 (Kanade), support vocals
- Takashi, support bass
- Shunya, support drums
The music on every track is credited to “YT.”
Garden of Eden
The first release was the digital EP Garden of Eden, out on 3 July 2024. It has five tracks:
- “Intro”
- “d3lightless!!”
- “Serial Experiments U”
- “No God Save the Queen”
- “Garden of Eden,” at six and a half minutes the longest
The titles are a puzzle in themselves. One echoes a Sex Pistols song, one echoes the 1998 anime Serial Experiments Lain, and one swaps a vowel for a number.
DISSOLUTION
On 29 May 2026 came the single “DISSOLUTION,” with lyrics by Kanade and music by YT. The band presented it as the first single by the new lineup.
CYCLONE and ANTIKNOCK
Art’emïus has played Shibuya CYCLONE many times. The venue’s schedule shows the band there on 27 June, 26 September and 12 November 2024; on 22 April, 25 June, 9 September and 16 December 2025; and on 17 June 2026. The September 2024 show was with August Mayhem from the Philippines.
On 26 October 2026 the band opens Shinjuku ANTIKNOCK’s 41st-anniversary show, GOLD EXPERIENCE, with BRIDEAR and GUNGIRE also on the bill.
Why It Matters
A lot of bands live in this space: self-released, built on support players, and playing the same rooms month after month until the bills get bigger. Art’emïus is at that stage, with an anniversary bill at ANTIKNOCK on the calendar.
Start with “DISSOLUTION,” then Garden of Eden.
